Ach, those ones, probably long dead. Right now I am on two hives and neither are at my new house. I haven't harvested any honey at all since I last mentioned it. I've been experimenting with leaving them completely alone and they survive just fine if I don't steal the honey. What like 3 years now or something and none died?
That's pretty awful. If I harvest honey they die, if I leave it, they live.

I can only really imagine I am not feeding them enough, soon enough. The spring weather has been too rubbish in the UK to think about stealing bee rations the last 3 years so maybe I might go for an autumn harvest this year, if the summer is stupid hot.
