God damn you, I'd love to be able to afford to do that. I've been windsurfing a few times and it's one of the most fun things I've ever done, but the sailboards themselves are so damn expensive, it's nothing but a pipe dream for me at this stage

No joke, they are expensive! Keep in mind, used gear - best gear. After 3 years, it works just fine, but it costs a quarter as much. I'm riding a used board now I bought for 100 USD, and it's ace. I hear pipe dreams are more expensive, especially the crack kind.

Everything is cooler with lasers. Everything.

i can see the progress. in that previous video you posted last June you were flipping left and right and up and down, now there is much more control and stability. cannot state the same about your friend, though, it is like in russia, board surfs the dude.

I've heard kids get in the way of the sport. On a related note, I plan on keeping it wrapped for a while. That being said, don't lose hope! A lot of my heroes have kids, and they find a way to get out on the water and keep ripping. Some of them are even French - Julien Taboulet

Honesty deserves honesty: this could be the most heartwarming thing I've read in a while.

Thanks for all the comments. I haven't tried any more doubles since that Saturday. That last crash messed me up something fierce. To quote the guy following me -

I'm not sure where the smiley face fit in, but I let it slide.

Doctor's visit incoming. Fingers crossed, wood knocked, rabbit foot firmly grasped. That reads sexually. I'm sure the appointment will be less provocative.
