So I had high hopes about what I might write in this thread when I came to write it. Turns out that bees are little shits and I don't want to write anything about the mardy bastards right now. I'll get some better pictures at the weekend when Fledge gets here if the weather is ok. It also turns out that trying to get a camera out of your pocket when you're under attack by ten thousand mardy bastard little shits isn't so easy either.

Also, they're messy bastards too. I was expect decor more like lego, but it's more like Alien. I need a cup of tea.

Also picture might be a bit big, sorry. Can't be bothered with resizing it right now. Tea, I need a nice cup of tea and a sit down.

Ok, I noticed this morning that there was a little activity at the hive exits, mostly carrying out dead bees. Kind of expected that since there were thousands dead in the boxes they came in. It was a bit cold for them to be proper going for it.

Anyway I took these two shots this evening of both the hives, loads of activity, so I guess that makes me a bee keeper since they didn't leave.

I had to go back into that second one, the one with the fancy pants sloped sides as I figured (correctly) that I was drowning some bees in sugar solution. I managed to get the smoker working tonight. Oh boy does that make a difference. Yeah, smoke, that's the business.
Queen is still trapped in her candy cage, I'll give them until the weekend to get her out then I'm doing it.

I'll sell u some african ones, need to clear them out twice a year and u wont have to worry about them dying off or anything related since they r already resistant to a bunch of insecticides + survive high altitudes (2000m+) and coldish weather, what say u
