Ok white wash for the tank complete
So after the basic gray paint we apply
hairspray on the whole model.
After couple of minutes i can airbrush the white paint on top of it.
After letting it dry a few minutes more i start to apply warm water on top of the surfaces with a brush letting it sit for a while.
Then i start to going through the whole surface with a brush starting from the edges and high wear areas to create chipping etc.
Final look
Ok made a blue gray filter on all surfaces + some washes of darker gray + black on the turret
Filter:
Consists roughly 90% thinner and 10% paint. I used enamel paints on this one (oils work aswell).
I use acrylic base coat so the oil based filters and paints wont affect it.
Washes:
About 50% + 50% ratio on paint/thinner. Purpose to make all the recessed details to be darker and creating shadows.
