Yeah, unfortunately you need the ECM to be able to fight off other ECM ships. It is one major downfall in PVP now and days. I have had more 'can you bring a falcon or rook?' then 'Hey, can you bring your rattlesnake?' to BS fights.

There's plenty of ways to be able to beat ECM.
Off the top of the head these two things will counter ECM specifically:

a) ECCM sniper BS
b) Arazu/Lachesis w/ damps (don't rly like damps myself tho)

Caldari also get the highest sensor strength IIRC so jamming a falcon/rook is harder then jamming a lot of other stuff (in Noir. they actually toyed with the idea of an anti-falcon falcon and it was really retarded).

edit: less arguing about the merits of ECM and more drawing diagrams in paint imo 8-) 8-)

no, i'm saying that fmerc has performed gr8 lately. recruitment officer doesn't come with the "there can be only one" -feature.
