When you bench how much to you vary in weight between bench sets? As in what weight do you do for each set?

i do a set with the bar
30kg
40kg
42.5 3x5
is what i did my last sesion

that seems kinda unnecessary, i would just go bar, 35, work set.

i find it really hard to balance tbh. obv warm up sets are necessary, but you don't want to get fatigued before your work sets either.

if i'm doing 125 on squat for example, i might do

10 reps with bar

5 with 40kg
3 with 80kg
2 with 100kg

work sets.
