Recovery.

I've been trying out different things to help with recovery after games as it becomes real hard to do resistance training when everything is bruised. Generally I use an anti-inflamatory called Voltaren gel for inflammation and to aid tendons. Today I tried jumping into a cold only bath for a full 5 minutes before jumping in the shower. It's 10 degrees outside so I had some motivational music going and it felt pretty hardcore. I also feel pretty good, my toe also hurts less and I wouldn't mind trying out a full ice bath sometime soon. Anyone else know of, or done, any recovery methods that are similar... swimming in the ocean early morning or something?

for scrubs for whom the closest thing they'll get to "swimming in the ocean early morning" is falling into the thames on the way to work, i suggest contrast showers - cycle between hot and cold in 2 minute ish intervals. feels good man. also sex is an awesome recovery exercise :maverick:

N1 soldat,

weight gain has unsurprisingly slowed, but I'm feeling stronger. Also had a proper 15 minute ice bath tonight with it being 7 degrees outside. Feels bloody great

You know when you suddenly really need to take a shit, and leg it to the toilet as fast as you can, but have no idea if you are going to get there in time or if you'll have to unload in your pantalons? I'm pretty much like that, but with work, so literally have done nothing for a week or so.
