lots has changed esp with teen pregnancies, i think its less acceptable for teens to become pregnant now than it has ever been in the past and it has a much greater impact on them now than it could have 100 years ago. (where women were generally not expected by society to do anything with their lives aside from procreate cook and clean) this age is not the same at all. sure the physical effects are less crazy these days with modern medicine and birth control etc, but in the event something does go wrong, the emotional impact i would argue is much greater, as well as the impact on the lifestyle.
