Oh and its people like you Otter, that make quotas even more necessary. You simply cant trust the uneducated and the xenophobic/descriminative to change their mind once their mind is set, so you simply force their fucking hand. Why?

Because fuck you, thats why

I just think quotas are ridiculous in some circumstances, e.g gender quotas in what we consider civilized society where women are already the majority in the highly qualified talent pool (= evidence of non-discrimination in higher education? idk). Race quotas based on 'affirmative action' to break stereotypes of hiring in one's own image only? Maybe, if being the best really isn't enough. Sexual identity quotas? man I don't even.. :/

How about a priority health care quota favouring men 60+ over women 60+, since after all their average life expectancy is shorter that that of women and we should not tolerate such uneducted inequality? Fuck you elderly cunts, the men live less so they're first in line? I'd say it's ridiculous. How about making sure at least 39% of construction workers are girls?

Yeah I think I've made a post similar to that before on here. My aunty recons the same thing, she's a mother of 8 (they can afford it though, her and my uncle run an architecture business so not some hick situation) and says one of the major negatives of the feminist movement is that a perception has been created that stay at home mothers are 'only' stay at home mothers. Basically to be considered anything you have to be a mother and have a career which is near impossible.

I still agree with a lot of feminist views of society though, only because every time I think about something they say I try swap the situation around as if the discrimination were against males and usually I find that if I was a woman I'd be losing my shit at how things are constantly.

should companies be forced to hire 40% stupid people just to make things fair? I am strongly opposed to any sort of bias bullshit, and feminists rub me the wrong way to a high degree. In my view, if you are a feminist you support discrimination because you want special stuff for certain people (women) almost as much as some guy saying women cant drive etc. Its just all retardation. people are people. There are so many laws and such that protect women much more these days so the table is already turned law wise. you just basically need to wait for the "old guard" company managers to die off naturally (another 15 years) and we are good. you dont have to make a god damn "women's secret club" where its ok to think you are superior just because you couldnt vote 100 years ago.

yeh sitting around at home all day cooking 2-3 meals per day and caring for a child you presumably care a great deal for would really suck.

women who get to do this have it really hard.

the world is pretty sexist but you would be stupid not to assume its also sexist against men at times. for all the fathers who want to stay home and look after their children but will never be able to do so without the stigma of them being lazy fucks etc.

i have a close friend who had a stay at home dad (his mum was a really successful doctor). his mum and dad decided that one of them had to stay home to look after him and his brother but it would have been stupid to have his mother who had the higher income stay at home while his father continued to work. people including members of my extended family would often gossip about him and talk down at him.

the issue lies in our societies where a decision like this is judged harshly by idiots who otherwise would be pro-feminism.

off the top of my head i can think of a bunch more examples of sexism against men: nannying / receptionist positions / certain uni courses (engineering) give scholarships and benefits to attract women to their faculty.

sure theres a problem, but i think people who care about whos name is first on a will are dealing with these issues on a really superficial level.
