RIP Black Isle Studios, when people actually made games because they wanted to put out a decent product and cared about making a good game as opposed to how quickly they can push out the latest CGI animal movie game

Old games are much like old music, they are often simply better than their newer counterparts. When making games was about making games and not about production efficiency, profit margins, and marketing

Back then games were sold on their merits, not on bribed reviewers, advertising budgets, or because they were attached to the latest pixar film. These days a game does not need to be good to sell well, and this is the whole problem with modern video gaming

Thats my point. They can put effort in and their game will sell well. or they can not really bother, put out a game which sells almost as well because of :Mass Media:, and then put out a hashed up sequel 6 months later and make twice the money instead of making one excellent game
