"killing someone" is not always worse than raping someone, and to point it out.... sometimes killing someone isnt even wrong. there has literally never to my knowledge been a situation where someone has raped someone (with intent - specific intent) and it hasnt been wrong. the same is not true of murder.


also nrom you need to realise even in your backwards country that wards in prisons are FIRST a hospital and second a prison. and thats a very clear distinction from being in prison. there would likely be fewer good psych wards that can prevent escape etc in mexico so it makes sense they use prison hospitals there. but even here a lot of the time we use prison hospitals for people who arnt criminally responsible but who need to be kept apart form society for everyones safety.

of course they wont send them somewhere they can run lose if they are a serious threat to the community, the point is though the difference between who is culpable and who is not.

"excuses" for murder: necessity, justifiable homicide (including capital punishment), non-insane automatism (something kinda like temp insanity due to external or very specific factors), substantial impairment, infanticide (killing a baby younger than 12 months - if you are the mother), intoxication(pretty messy but its there), provocation, duress, self-defense
