its made up of 2 vanity mirror things which already had the lights on which run on batteries which i just stuck to the ceiling and floor, a mini stand for the floor part of the tree and some wires and shit for the ceiling part. (its a fake tree, no cutting or anything was involved).

Add baubles, superglue the star to the top part of the tree and voila. Took about 2 hours to get it right, but everytime you so much as breath on it, its going to fall down or become unbalanced.
