I wouldn't go as far as 80% because for instance many headaches are caused by allergy (ie pollen)

But it's well known that the hangover headaches are caused by a dehydration of the brain yes.

On the other side coffe dehydrates, and people addicted to it get easily headaches when they stop.

i will.

trying to say that a religious person will listen to reason / logic once ET is found is like saying, maybe religious people will one day stop believing in an invisible puppet master who is pulling all our strings but is ready to judge us for not dancing the way he wanted us to. their position is usually inherently unsubstantiated. and they dont mind that at all.

this is the reason why you can argue with a religious person but it will never get anywhere.

they understand logic/reason, they just dont think it applies to them/their religion.

It's what they refer to as 'faith'. They don't require logic or even want to question the logical and philosophical absurdities of religion. They just want to believe.

I appreciate everyone has something to get them thorough the day/week etc and i'm normally very tolerant of it (or i just avoid it entirely if i can help it) and the fact that they will go to lengths to defend that state of mind is understandable.

But the way some people force it down your throat (this includes anti-semitism aswell) REALLY pisses me off.
