Do u pay a 0.60€ stamp with a credit card?

No but you will reply "who still post letters anyway?" :D

coffee machine at work is free. outside work I'd got to a coffee store, and pay with credit card. I just dont carry cash at all, and the only one I know who does is literally a tinfoil conspiracy nut who wears sweatpants all the time

actually, about coffee machines. was on a train today and some woman wanted to get coffee, but she only had a large bill. she asked if anyone had any change. nobody did.

btw most vending machines these days you pay using text messages from your phone

Oh really, thought you were trolling.

Most shops here don't accept ccs for under 7 euros at least, more often like 15 euros, esp. tobacco shops so we need cash and it's an old habit in bars to pay with cash (unless you're on a drinking/eating evening, past 20-30 euros we tend to pay with cc) and leave a tip like 50 cents if service was good. Why annoy the waiter asking for cc machine for a 4,20 euros bill vOv

We don't have a pay-per-phone system and I'm glad, this shit must be completely unsecure.

swedes dont really tip either. minimum wage and all that. waiter will have a card reader with him to the table usually. some small tobaco stores might charge you extra if you do very small card purchases. but we are talking <1 euro and this is sort of going away because there are deals that are pretty good for small businesses to handle this stuff now

Interresting, looks like norway is ahead in the matrix style states coming to us where black market is impossible, and everything is traced :D

For your own good and convenience, we hereby declare cash is a useless barbaric relic and will look into any suspect income

(semi trolling)

In aus cash is used a lot. Major chains such as 7-eleven, safeway/coles (Our two largest supermarkets) allow any purchse using card but smaller shops usually have a minimum requirement ($10 or so), ($20 at my local pizza place) due to the percentage banks take from the cards when they're used.

basically the vending machine will have a number on it. you text that number with a code and the amount of money you want. a few seconds later the amount shows on the machine and you hit whichever number you want to get your choc bar etc. the cost ends up on your phone bill.
